Students at Bay College who major in Art may decide to focus on Graphic Design. Students may choose to concentrate in photography, graphic communication or electronic imaging.

Students can earn an Associate in Arts degree at Bay College by completing 60 credits in Art and general education classes. Once students have decided on a transfer institution, they should meet with their advisors to gear their course selection to their future schools and concentrations.

Students who graduate with a bachelor’s degree in graphic design have many options available.

The advent of the digital era means that thousands of web pages, computer applications, video games and other forms of electronic media are being created every day. This growing market for electronic media means that there are always new positions being created, because these areas depend heavily on graphic designers.

Work can be found in graphic design firms, freelancing, web design, higher education, photo labs, advertising and more.
