How do I login to myBay for the first time?

Your username and password are in your acceptance letter which was delivered to your home.
  • Your default username is firstname.lastname (e.g. john.doe).
  • Your default password is comprised of the word Welcome (capital W), followed by a comma, then your ID number. For example, if your ID number is 12345, then your password will be: Welcome,12345.
Steps for setting up your myBay account:
  1. Go to the Password Manager –> access by going to baycollege.edu, hovering your mouse over the gold myBay tab in the menu, and then clicking Password Manager in the dropdown menu.
  2. Login with your default username and password.
  3. Review and accept the security policy.
  4. Setup 3 secret questions.
  5. Change the default password.
If you struggle to remember your account information you may want to save your username, security questions, answers, and password on paper for future reference.

I forgot my username and/or password. What do I do?

Your single username and password are used to login to Blackboard, myBay, and Bay’s e-mail. If you can login to one of these three services, but not another, then there may be an issue with that service rather than with your username and/or password.

If you forgot your username and/or password:
  1. Go to the Password Manager –> access by going to baycollege.edu, hovering your mouse over the gold myBay tab in the menu, and then clicking Password Manager in the dropdown menu.
  2. Click Forgot Password.
  3. Enter your username and then click submit.
  4. Answer the security questions which you created when you first setup your account
  5. You will be given a new generated password. Copy generated password onto paper.
  6. Click continue.
  7. Enter your username and the generated password.
  8. Enter new information to create a new password. Be sure to follow the password requirements that may pop up if you do not create an acceptable password.
  9. Login using your username and the new password that you just created.

I just signed up for online classes. Why am I not able to login to Blackboard?

The college runs a “snapshot” process that sends information off to Blackboard three times a day. If you just registered for courses you may need to wait for the process to run. The snapshot process runs three times daily, around 8 a.m., 12 p.m., and 4 p.m., EST.

Not all features and content are accessible using mobile devices. In some situations you will need access to either a computer or laptop in order to successfully complete an online course in Blackboard.
