Bay College Training & Development (MTEC) will be offering CPR and First Aid training on Wednesday, December 20, from 2 pm - 9 pm. This course is designed for those who want to learn the skills, but are not required to obtain certification in CPR for employment.

Stephen P. O’Driscoll resigned from Bay College’s Board of Trustees at the December 12, 2017 Board Meeting in response to a recent legal opinion issued by Michigan’s Attorney General which found that under Michigan’s Incompatible Public Offices Act an individual cannot sit on the board of education for a school district and the college’s board of trustees at the same time if the school district and the college have entered into a contract. Michigan’s Attorney General has explained that once this situation occurs the individual is required to vacate one of the public offices.

Bay College West Campus will be hosting a Wisconsin Schools Career Day on Friday, December 15 for eighth graders from Niagara, Florence, Pembine and Goodman. Over 80 students will hear from six local businesses on what education is needed for future careers and what a typical day looks like on the job. Presenters will be sharing their unique journeys providing advice and insight.

Ready…set…weld!  Bay College is offering a fun and exciting NEW workshop series Learn to Weld. These introductory welding workshops are designed for the person who has limited or no previous welding experience. The focus will be on basic practical welding for the hobbyist and homeowner.

Lake Superior State University has awarded its Escanaba Regional Center Scholarship for the semester that begins in January to Bethany Lemerand of Escanaba, Mich. Lemerand is earning a baccalaureate degree in criminal justice-corrections with a law enforcement minor through LSSU's regional center at Bay College in Escanaba.
