Congratulations to Brent Madalinski, Bay College's quarterly September – November 2016 TORCH Award winner. Brent is a full-time faculty member, and teaches in the Business Division.
Brent is recognized for his work at Bay College as noted in the following:
“Brent Madalinski was nominated for the TORCH award by another faculty member in the Business Division. He was nominated because of his enthusiasm for teaching and his willingness to share his knowledge with other faculty members. He is always willing to share his ideas about a class or a different approach to teaching. This instructor that nominated him stated they have learned more from Brent over the years than any other source. This instructor credits Brent for their positive attitude toward teaching and flexibility in teaching the students. The enthusiasm and innovation that Brent brings to the classroom does not stop there, he also brings this into his role of being Division chair. Brent always makes time to listen to other department member’s thoughts and suggestions, and will seek out and research information that benefit the entire department.”
The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment. TORCH stands for: Team Player; Outstanding Performance; Responsive to Others; Conscientious to Mission of Bay; Helpful to All.
