Congratulations to Andrew Paulsen, Bay College's quarterly March – May 2017 TORCH Award winner. Andrew is an adjunct welding instructor at the West Campus. Andrew is recognized for his work at Bay College as noted in the following:
“Andrew has been instrumental in getting our welding program up and running at Bay College West. He has a great attitude, works hard every day, making sure that he has the highest quality students completing the welding program. He has worked with many employers to secure jobs for the students who has completed the welding program. Andrew invests more time than what is expected of his work, and he does it because he believes in the program and enjoys his students, and seeing them succeed through their education. Andrew was a team player and was easy to work with when the College received new welding equipment through a grant for the West Campus welding lab. He assisted in the purchase selection of the equipment, helped receive the equipment upon arriving, and moved existing welding booths around to make room for the new equipment.  Again, his commitment to the students, the welding program, and his efforts establishing job placement for the students make Andrew a great TORCH Award winner.
The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment.
