Bay College scholarship recipient Morgan Delvaux is pictured above with one of the SIM “patients” in the nursing lab.
Last year Morgan Delvaux received a Bids for Bay
scholarship that was sponsored by Bay College faculty and staff. Morgan says, “After receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Health Science, I realized that I wanted to have a more “one-on-one” impact with patients and decided to become a registered nurse. Since I had already earned a four-year degree prior to attending Bay, I didn’t qualify for any financial assistance. Thank you Bay College, this scholarship has truly been my life support.”
Each year Bay de Noc Community College awards over $300,000 in scholarships to students. More than 250 scholarships are available for the fall 2015 semester through the Bay College Foundation. These scholarships are sponsored by friends of the College including faculty, businesses, community organizations, foundations and individuals. Students use scholarship awards to help pay tuition, fees, and books, minimizing debt loads to attend college.
All students accepted to Bay College are eligible to apply for scholarships online. By completing all parts of the online application, students will be qualified to receive any of the scholarships they meet the criteria for. The deadline to apply for scholarships for the fall 2015 semester is March 15. In order to be considered, students must apply at www.baycollege.edu/scholarshipapp
Kim Carne, Vice President of Advancement and Foundation says, “These scholarships often make the difference whether students can attend college or not. The need in our area is great with over 90% of our students receiving some kind of financial support. I encourage anyone planning to attend Bay College in the fall to apply for scholarships.”
