Bay West Hosts Wisconsin 8th Grade Students for Career Day

Bay College West Campus will be hosting a Wisconsin Schools Career Day on Friday, December 15 for eighth graders from Niagara, Florence, Pembine and Goodman. Over 80 students will hear from six local businesses on what education is needed for future careers and what a typical day looks like on the job. Presenters will be sharing their unique journeys providing advice and insight.

“The earlier we can get students thinking about their career path the more prepared they will be when it comes time to make those big decisions after high school. We hope presentations will get students excited about careers and businesses located here in Dickinson County,” said Laura Moloney, Director of Student Services at Bay West.

Students will be learning about engineering from Systems Control, criminal justice from the Michigan State Police, computer science and technology from CCI Systems, nursing and physical therapy from Dickinson County Healthcare, manufacturing and welding from Lake Shore Systems and Accounting from the First National Bank & Trust.
