FREE Community Event: Diabesity Lecture

Bay College in conjunction with Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine, will be hosting a free community event entitled: “Diabesity: The Unabated Epidemic of Diabetes and Obesity” on Wednesday, November 9. 

Dr. Saleh Aldasouqi, Associate Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Endocrinology Division of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, will be presenting on the subject of obesity as in being one of the biggest predictors of type 2 diabetes.   Join Dr. Aldasouqi at this “Your Health Lecture” to learn what can be done to prevent and treat “diabesity”.  The lecture will begin at 7:00 p.m. EST in Bay College’s Student Center Room 525.

Prior to joining MSU, Dr. Aldasouqi was medical director of Sparrow Diabetes Center, director of Cape Diabetes and Endocrinology and Cape Thyroid Center as well as a medical director of Saint Francis Diabetes Center.  He is board-certified in internal medicine, endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism.
