Bay College is getting ready for a frightfully good time! The TRIO Student Support Services program, Campus Activities Board, Bay Art Club, and Bay Library are teaming together to offer a family friendly Halloween event for the whole community. The annual Halloween Spooktacular will be held Thursday, October 27th
from 6:00 – 9:30 (EST) in Café Bay, with a movie to follow in the Besse Theater.
The theme of the event will be “Nightmare Before Christmas,” and will feature a free showing of the Tim Burton classic at 7:30pm. There will be free food, drinks, and treats from Café Bay, and special treat bags for children attending the event. Stations will be set up with board games, active Halloween-themed games, Minute-to-Win-It challenges, and video game consoles as well. All attendees are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes and participate in the costume contest held at 7:00pm.
The Spooktacular (formerly known as Flight Night) “gives students the chance to have fun, network, and build community with other peers, parents, and children in the area after putting in hard work during midterms,” says Student Support Services staff member Erica Mead. The events are free admission and open to all families of students, staff and the public.
TRIO Student Support Services is a federally-funded program at Bay that works to serve first-generation and low income students and students with disabilities to increase their retention, graduation, and transfer rates.
