The Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees has appointed Eric L. Lundin to fill the trustee vacancy created by Margaret Noreus as of June 30, 2015.
Mr. Lundin was selected from four candidates for the vacancy. Following tradition, the Board reviewed the skill sets each candidate would bring to the Board while attempting to achieve diversity in its membership.
Mr. Lundin is a Vice President at Upper Peninsula State Bank where he has been employed for the past 10 years and served previously as the Director of Business Development, Vice President at DSTech, Inc. (formerly Delcomp/SOFTEK) prior to joining the Upper Peninsula State Bank.
Eric is a lifelong resident of Delta County. He graduated from Rapid River High School, Bay de Noc Community College, and resided in Rapid River after graduating Summa cum Laude from Northern Michigan University in 2002. He and his family currently reside in Gladstone.
Mr. Lundin served as a Bay College trustee from 2003 to 2011. He left the Board to coach basketball for four years at Rapid River and Gladstone Schools.
Mr. Lundin stated, “I understand what a resource the College is to our community and look forward in aiding the College to reach its vision of being a leader in lifelong learning that empowers students and engages communities.”
