Bay College West announces, Perceptions Revealed, an exhibition of artworks featuring the work of various student artists. The public is invited to the Opening Reception to meet the artists on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 in the Lower Commons of Bay College West from 6 PM to 8 PM. Refreshments will be served and Valari Swanson, pianist, will perform.

The Exhibit can be viewed from April 8th to May 6th at Bay College West. Differing Views represents a culmination of a semester of work for these students. The exhibit will include drawings, paintings and photography using a variety of media including graphite, charcoal, watercolor, pastels, oils, acrylics, ink, and photographic images to produce their compelling images.  Students are learning to create unified compositions that effectively communicate their ideas and values. The exhibited works originated from three art classes – Drawing 1 & 2, Painting 1 & 2, and Digital Photography 1 & 2. This is a juried art show in which one piece of artwork will be selected to be part of Bay’s Permanent Art Collection. Everyone is invited to view the exhibit and to attend the Artists’ Reception on Tuesday, April 12th from 6-8 PM at Bay West.

In addition, the students from the Sociology of Cultural Diversity class will present a poster session of their Community Action Projects in Fornetti Hall.  Projects include Prevention of Cyberbullying, Suicide Prevention, and Prescription Drug Abuse.
