Outstanding Full-Time Faculty Award

Beginning January and ending mid-February each year, nominations are accepted for the Full-time Faculty Outstanding Educator Award. Each year, one to three Bay College full-time instructors are selected as Bay’s Outstanding Educators. These individuals must have a full-time appointment at the college for three years or more and be tenured at the time of nomination. Faculty members who have received this award are not eligible for a period of three years. Commitment to education and excellence in service are the primary focuses of this award.

To be considered for this award, a nomination is required. Any Bay College student, employee, board member, alumni, or community member may nominate one or more full-time faculty members for this award.

Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Award

Beginning January and ending mid-February each year, Bay College will accept nominations for the Outstanding Part-Time Faculty Award. Each year, one to three Bay College part-time instructors are selected as the College’s Outstanding Part-Time Faculty. Instructional and professional excellence are the primary focus of this award.

To be eligible, instructors must have completed 32 contact hours of teaching for Bay College. In addition, they must be currently teaching or have taught within the last twelve months. Nominations may be submitted by Bay College students, employees, board members, alumni, or community members.

Outstanding Staff Award

During the month of February, any Bay College employee, board member, student, alumni, or community member may nominate a full-time or regular part-time non-faculty employee for the Bay College Outstanding Staff Award.

Each year, one to two Bay College administrative/exempt and/or support staff/non-exempt employee(s) are selected as Bay’s outstanding staff member(s). These individuals must have completed three years of employment in the eligible categories at Bay College.
