Why Geography?

Geography is the only discipline that looks at the Earth from a spatial perspective.  Geography includes five major themes and examines our planet – or portions thereof - in terms of location, place, the environment, movement, and regions.  Geography as a discipline is both eclectic and comprehensive and includes a myriad of areas of study including biogeography, geomorphology, hydrogeography, climatology, soils geography, behavioral geography, population geography, economic geography, historical geography and political geography.

Why Bay College?

GEOG 110 Physical Geography (Physical Geography) and GEOG 121 World Regional Geography (Human/Cultural Geography) are offered each year and provide introduction(s) to the field of geography.  Students can also take GIS – Geographic Information System which is one of the fastest growing areas of the discipline.
