DeClaire stated, “I truly had an unforgettable experience from LSSU’s regional center at Bay College. I am proud of the degree I now hold thanks to the opportunity of working and going to school full time in my community. I gained an extensive wealth of knowledge in my field of early childhood education.” Mackie added, “The regional center at Escanaba’s campus made attending a university so much easier. I definitely want to thank Heidi [Berg], Diane [Pascoe], and everyone else at the regional center for their hard work. They made the shift from Bay to LSSU very simple and did a lot of work to help us successfully walk across the stage at commencement.”
The graduates were taking classes at Bay College, which offers LSSU baccalaureate programs in Escanaba and Iron Mountain through a partnership with LSSU.
