Bay College Re-energizes Theater Program
News
The arts at Bay College continue to thrive, and theater is no exception. The student Drama Club was rejuvenated this past Winter Semester with a focus on theatrical workshops, theater trips and a small production. The efforts were coordinated by Erica Mead in conjunction with efforts led by community theater advocate Jamie Peterson.
The energy is continuing this fall with the recent addition of Brittany Welch to coordinate and lead the student theater program. Brittany brings a wealth of experience to the program. She has been the Creative Director at the Children’s Theater of Theater on the Bay, located on the UW Marinette campus for the past three years, as well as involved in all aspects of adult theater for the past six years. She has an Associate’s Degree in Arts and is currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education with a minor in theater.
Bay College is excited to bring forth future theater productions involving students and the community. All students interested in theater and joining the Drama Club at Bay College should contact Brittany at brittany.welch_FROM_BAY_COLLEGE. Drama Club’s next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 7 at 5:30pm in room CB 218 at Bay College.
