Bay College Announces Early Childhood Awareness and Advocacy Event

On Tuesday, December 4, 2018, from 6-7:30pm, the Bay College Early Childhood Education Program: Exceptionalities in Early Childhood class, is hosting a Parent Panel Event in Room 525 off the Café Bay. Four local families will be sharing via a Parent Panel, their journey in parenting a young child with special developmental, behavioral and/or learning needs. Service providers from around the area will be on hand to share about the support they offer to young children and families in the areas of: early intervention, well child checks/vaccinations, screening, assessment & diagnosis, early education/school readiness, speech & language, fine/gross motor development, social-behavioral & home visiting, IEP/IFSP support & advocacy, and more.
Parent, student and service provider networking is encouraged and refreshments will be served. More information can be obtained by calling Tammra at 906-217-4158.
