Mine Safety 8-Hour (MSHA) Annual Refresher Training Scheduled

Bay College Training and Development will be hosting an 8-hour Annual MSHA Refresher course of Part 46 and 48 of the Mine Act, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The 8-hour MSHA program covers the annual training requirements for owners and operators under 30 CFR parts 46 & 48 (companies training under Part 46 must have an approved training plan). If you are an owner or employee of shell dredging, sand, gravel, surface stone, surface clay, colloidal phosphate, and surface limestone mines, you must receive annual training under 30 CFR parts 46 and 48. All attendees must be “experienced miners” and have completed their 24-hour New Miner training. Training will be conducted through Michigan Technological University’s Michigan Mine Safety & Health Training grant.

Participants can choose to attend on Wednesday, February 13th at Bay College’s West Campus in Iron Mountain, Thursday, February 14th or Friday, February 15th, in Escanaba. Training will take place from 8 am - 5 pm. Cost of training remains at $49 with lunch included.  Deadline to register is 5 days before each class.
