New Personal Development Workshops Offered at Bay College-West Campus

Bay College West Campus (Bay West) will be offering a Workplace Essentials: Preparing for your Success class on March 26, 2019 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. CST.  The cost of this course is $43.  This workshop will cover the basics in essential workplace skills, attitudes and culture that are the building blocks for success in any career.  Students will learn what is appropriate when it comes to being ready for work, apparel, communicating with co-workers and supervisors, social media, and dealing with conflict in the workplace. This class will be taught by Cole Smith, Human Resources Generalist at Systems Control. 

West Campus will also be providing a Problem Solving with Lean Concepts class on April 1, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. CST.  The cost of this course is $175.  Students will follow the steps of the lean problem solving process (PDCA) to learn how to use different problem solving methodologies in different circumstances (Problem Solving Flowchart, A3), understand what it takes to develop concise problem solving A3's and or Problem Solving Flowcharts, and understand and explain the "thinking process" and infrastructure needed to sustain problem solving at all levels. The class will be led by instructor Kurt Peterson, Founder and Principal at Total Enterprise Consulting and Coaching, LLC.  Peterson has 23 years of experience in industry and is accountable for cost savings and revenue growth totaling over $100 million.
