Bay Hosts Colloquia, "Demystifying Natural Resources Careers"

The Bay College Math Science Division will host a presentation on career opportunities in natural resources with government agencies, non-governmental organizations and industry.  Micah Reuber, Forest Biologist with the Hiawatha National Forest will speak at 4 PM on Thursday April 11 in room 125 of the Math Science Building at Bay College’s Escanaba Campus.  The presentation will be available simultaneously via iTV in room 107 at Bay College’s West Campus at 3 PM central time. 

Many diverse skill sets are needed in natural resource management, from civil and environmental engineers, to GIS specialists, to fisheries and wildlife biologists, and foresters.  How do you find these positions?  What can you do to improve your qualifications? Where will the most opportunities be in the future?  How do you find opportunities? Reuber will draw on his diverse career experiences around the country with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Western Area Power Administration, and the US Forest Service describing how to find opportunities and how to best position yourself for success in a natural resources career.  For more information, contact 906-217-4051.
