Bay College Presents New Dental Conference

Bay College Training and Development is introducing a new conference focused on the needs of dental professionals. The Bay College Dental Conference will take place on Friday, May 17 from 7 am – 4:30 pm. The conference, submitted to the Michigan Board of Dentistry for seven continuing education contact hours, will feature two engaging speakers from the West: Dr. Sam Halabo and Dr. Arthur Tomaro.

Dr. Sam Halabo, DMD, is an accomplished national and international speaker, author and product evaluator. For over 20 years he has run a state-of-the-art private practice in San Diego, CA. He is a graduate of Boston University’s Goldman School of Graduate Dentistry and he completed a General Practice Residency at the Loma Linda Veterans Hospital. Sam is currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of California in San Diego and an Editor for Inside Dentistry magazine. He served as the director of dental care at the UCSD Homeless Clinic in Pacific Beach, CA. Dr. Halabo has been involved in product evaluations for both Catapult Education and Clinicians Report (CR) for many years and is proud and honored to share his knowledge and experience with those seeking to provide excellent dental care for their patients.

Dr. Arthur Tomaro, DDS, graduated from the University of Michigan, School of Dentistry. Prior to his relocation to Las Vegas, Nevada, Dr. Tomaro enjoyed 26 years of private practice in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He provides live-patient treatment courses, as well as peer lectures to dentists nationally and internationally. His teaching focuses on techniques related to Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMD), General Dentistry (Tooth Colored Fillings & Crowns), Diagnosis, Cosmetic Dentistry, Treatment of Headaches, and Neuromuscular Dentistry procedures that are used in daily patient care.

This conference, offered in partnership with Cloverland District Dental Society, will take place at the M-TEC building located on the campus of Bay College in Escanaba. Conference fees include registration, continental breakfast, and lunch. Registration fees are as follows: dental staff members, $109; dentists, $129; Cloverland District Dental Society dentists, $99. Registration space is limited. The deadline to register is Monday, May 13.
