Bay College LSSU Regional Center Students Receive Recognition

Two students who attended Lake Superior State University’s regional center at Bay College have been recognized by LSSU as outstanding graduates in areas of study. Each took regular Bay College course offerings, and then transferred into a degree track through LSSU’s Escanaba Regional Center to finish with a Lake State baccalaureate.

Eric Schneider of Iron Mountain, Michigan was awarded the LSSU Lukenda School of Business Outstanding Transfer Student Award. The annual honor is given to a graduating senior who transferred into LSSU's business program. It is based upon a professor poll and best overall grade point average. Schneider completed a business administration-management degree. 

Sarah Gakstatter of Iron Mountain, Michigan was also recognized at LSSU's Nurse Pinning ceremony on April 26th with the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. The honor goes annually to a graduating senior in LSSU's nursing program based upon a professor poll as well as best overall grade point average (GPA). Gakstatter earned a 4.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
