Bay College Community Voices Presents, "Chinese Medicine and Holistic Medical Approaches to Pain Management"

The Bay College West Campus Speaker Series "Community Voices" continues on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM CST in Fornetti Hall.  Admission is free and all ages are welcome. 

This month will feature Dr. Kerry Niebrzydowski, ND MSOM LAc and Dr. Colleen Teska DAcOM LAc, presenting "Chinese Medicine & Holistic Medical Approaches to Pain Management.” Since January of 2010, Dr. Niebrzydowski has been in private practice and has acted as the medical director of Radiant Natural Health Clinic in Niagara, WI with Dr. Teska as a provider for the clinic.

Dr. Niebrzydowski is a Naturopathic Doctor, Licensed Acupuncturist, Chinese Herbalist, Reiki Master and Visionary Craniosacral Therapist. She earned her doctorate degree in naturopathic medicine and masters in oriental medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine in 2008. She has completed the yearlong Shun Han Lun series of Canonical Chinese Medicine, an additional two-year course in homeopathic medicine from the New England School of homeopathy and Shonishin pediatric acupuncture as well as Si Yuan Balance Method. She is the vice president of the Wisconsin Association of Naturopathic Doctors and a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Dr. Niebrzydowski also teaches Hatha Yoga at Bianco’s Fitness Center.

Dr. Teska is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, a Licensed Acupuncturist, and an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. She earned her doctoral degree, with a Pain Management focus, and masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine in Austin, TX. Dr. Teska is certified in Asian Bodywork (Tuina), Facial Rejuvenation, and NADA (Acupuncture Detoxification Specialist). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and has ten years of experience working in hospitals and as a Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation and stress testing specialist. From her personal exposure and experience with chronic and undiagnosed diseases and sports injuries, Dr. Colleen has a strong desire to help those with similar health challenges.

This presentation will provide information on the origins of Chinese medicine and its approaches to pain management, Qi Gong demonstration, and naturopathic therapies and philosophy in respect to pain management. For more information, Email Kelly%20Jaeger or call 906-302-3006.
