Wizard of Oz Tickets Available Starting October 7

The Wizard of Oz is widely considered to be one of the best films in cinematic history, an iconic fixture of American pop culture, and celebrated for its affirming message that home is truly where the heart is. Bay College is proud to honor the 80th anniversary of the beloved classic with a community theater adaptation of The Wizard of Oz in a full -scale musical directed by Jamie Peterson with musical direction by Travis Dubord that promises an “Over the Rainbow” adventure. In a high -quality stage adaptation of the classic story with state-of-the-art flying equipment, robotics, and an exciting collaboration of more than 100 community volunteers, Bay College is pleased to announce that tickets will soon be available.

Beginning October 7, 2019, tickets will be available for the public for upcoming performances running Friday, November 1 at 7 PM through Saturday, November 9, 2019. Afternoon matinees will be performed on Saturday, November 2, 2019 and Sunday, November 3, 2019. All performances take place inside Bay College’s Besse Theater in Escanaba. Tickets are General Admission, and may be purchased for $15.00 online (www.baycollege.tix.com) or at the Besse Center Box Office during regular business hours where a Wizard of Oz -themed art exhibit is currently on display until November 12 featuring over 40 art entrees depicting Wizard of Oz topics such as childhood, play, home, utopia, mortality, witches, family, and more. The public is encouraged to enjoy the exhibit and vote for their favorite piece deserving of the Audience Choice Award.
