Bay College Hosts EMS Conference

News

The 3rd annual Bay College EMS Conference will take place March 19 - 21. This conference will allow emergency medical service professionals the opportunity to listen to keynote presentations, network with others in the profession, as well as choose from various sessions to earn CEUs required for license renewal.

Bay College EMT/Paramedic Program Director, Trevor Quinlan, speaks to the importance of providing continuing education opportunities for EMS professionals in our region, "EMS is all about dealing with the unexpected. One minute you are delivering a baby and the next you are responding to a three-car accident, then on to someone that has the flu, and finally to hold the hand of a stranger as he breathes his last breath. Each of the major events requires the EMS provider to be well informed and trained. The Bay College EMS Conference allows area responders to attend training and take classes that they would not normally have access to individually or at a department level. The training offered at this EMS Conference will make a difference and help improve lives in the UP.”

This conference, made possible with generous support from Aspirus MedEvac and Guardian Flight/AirMedcare Network, will take place in several different buildings on the campus of Bay College. Conference fees include an invitation to the evening reception on Thursday, registration, continental breakfast, and lunch. Registration fees for the event are as follows: two-day registration, $159.00; one-day registration, $109.00; students currently enrolled in an EMT/Paramedic program, $50.00 per day. For more information on the conference breakout sessions or to register, call 906-217-4106, or visit the Bay College EMS Conference web page.
