Bay College EMS Conference Committee Creates Scholarship
The Bay College EMS Conference Committee is excited to develop two scholarships to be awarded to students enrolled in the EMT or Paramedic program at Bay College. The scholarships will assist students in pursuing a career in the medical professions of Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic. These candidates are studying to become nationally certified by the National Registry of EMT (NREMT) and Licensed in the State of Michigan in their respective fields of study. Upon completion and licensing, they will be ready to work, serve, and help save lives in their communities. EMT/Paramedic Instructor, Amy Anderson, said of the scholarships, “There is a great need for both EMTs and Paramedics in the medical field. This scholarship money will help support students on their path to becoming emergency medical professionals by helping to remove financial barriers.”
Bay College awards nearly 300 scholarships every year to graduating high school seniors, current students, and returning learners. Over $420,000.00 is available for students in scholarships for Academic Year 2020-2021, and a scholarship application must be submitted by March 15 to be considered. Interested applicants can apply for Foundation Scholarships via the scholarship web page.
