LSSU’S Escanaba/Iron Mountain Regional Center Announces December 2019 Graduates

Seven area residents have earned bachelor’s degrees from Lake Superior State University (LSSU). Graduates achieved their degrees through LSSU's Escanaba/Iron Mountain Regional Center which offers baccalaureate degree programs for students on Bay College campuses. Graduates are eligible to walk at commencement on May 2.

Graduating with a bachelor’s of science in business administration are Marissa Bazan from Iron Mountain, MI; Dylan Bloniarz from Perronville, MI; Molly Kuchinski from Iron Mountain, MI; Olivia Rivard from Wilson. In addition to the student's baccalaureate degrees, Bazan and Bloniarz earned a concentration in management, while Kuchinski and Rivard earned minors in marketing.

Graduating with a bachelor’s of science in early childhood education are Michelle Dahl from Daggett, MI; Sara Gill from Iron River, MI; and Brianna Stevens from Gulliver, MI. Dahl also earned a minor in sociology. Gill and Stevens also graduated with an associate degree in general studies with a behavioral science concentration.

Gill and Rivard graduated Magna Cum Laude, earning a 3.70-3.89 cumulative grade point average (GPA) on a 4.00 scale; and Bazan and Dahl graduated with Cum Laude honors, earning a 3.50-3.69 GPA.

Bazan said, “A major benefit of earning my bachelor’s degree through LSSU’s regional center was the ability to stay local and continue working full-time.”
