Congratulations to Amy Reddinger, Bay College's quarterly (March – May 2020) TORCH Award winner. Amy works at Bay College as Dean of Arts and Sciences. She is recognized for her work as noted in the following: “Amy is all about collaboration and working as a team. She is working with Doug Leisenring, Superintendent at the DSISD, and the newly formed Mental Health Task Force in Delta County. This particular outreach on her part has helped develop our Student Wellness Committee. Bringing students and employees together to help form and run the student wellness committee has been a great step in a direction that allows us to help share health and safety issues with our students on a much broader spectrum. She is also actively keeping the committee on task and this has had a great impact on our students. She is all about getting any student the necessary help they need for the situation at hand, she leaves no rock unturned. Amy’s openness, compassion, and ability to confide in are her strongest features in my mind.  She is a person our students look up to and know they have as an ally. She is strong, confident, and willing to help whenever a situation arises.”

Amy’s exceptional leadership and outstanding performance has made the difference with student success, community success, and culture of success.

The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment. TORCH stands for: Team Player; Outstanding Performance; Responsive to Others; Conscientious to Mission of Bay; Helpful to All.
