Congratulations to Sherri Mangan, Bay College's quarterly (September - November 2020) TORCH Award winner. Sherri is a full-time instructor for the Nursing Program at Bay College.

Sherri was nominated by one of her nursing students for going above and beyond and showing incredible dedication to making the transition from face to face instruction/clinics to online manageable.

She is recognized for her work as noted in the following: “Moving to online so suddenly due to the pandemic was difficult for all of us.” “If it wasn't for Sherri, I may have dropped temporarily. Sherri makes Bay College as great as it is! We need more teachers like Sherri. She wants us to succeed, and makes that her mission!”

Sherri went above and beyond to help clarify what was expected of her students, answered questions 24/7, and her patience and understanding helped her students stay on the pathway to success.

Sherri’s commitment and dedication in making student success a number one priority has proven to be very successful for the Nursing Program.

The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment. TORCH stands for: Team Player; Outstanding Performance; Responsive to Others; Conscientious to Mission of Bay; Helpful to All.
