Bay College Announces Quarterly TORCH Award Winner

Congratulations to Ashley Rogers, Bay College's quarterly (September 2021 – November 2021) TORCH Award winner. Rogers is the Dual Enrollment Coordinator for Bay College.  She supports the Bay College mission by her collaborative efforts with Academic Affairs and Student Services to coordinate all Early College Programs and Dual Enrollment while serving as the liaison between high schools and the College.

Rogers was nominated by one of her co-workers for going above and beyond to support student success and a culture of success within Bay College.  She is recognized for her work as noted in the following:

“She consistently approaches problems and conflict with kindness, non-judgment and objectivity.  She is humble and selfless when working with both students and colleagues.  She is an exceptional listener and engages with those around her in the most empathetic way.  She prioritizes her one-on-one interactions with students and coworkers.  Her communication is transparent, consistent, and reliable--as is her work contributions to team projects.”

“She lives Bay's mission (Student Success, Community Success, Culture of Success) every day as an employee. She acknowledges the contributions of her coworkers every chance she gets, and downplays her own contributions.  She volunteers at community events and offers help to colleagues whenever she can.  She believes in creating a positive, growth focused culture, and actively works to do that in every interaction she has.”

Roger’s commitment and dedication in making student success a number one priority has proven to be very successful for the Early College Programs and Dual Enrollment.

The purpose of the TORCH Award is to give personal recognition to those employees on Bay College’s campuses dedicated to the mission of the College because of their attitude, commitment, and dedication toward the higher education learning environment.
