Mine Safety 8-hour (MSHA) Annual Refresher Training Scheduled

Bay College Training and Development will be hosting the MSHA 8-hour Annual Refresher training of Part 46 and 48 of the Mine Act, Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA). The 8-hour MSHA program covers the annual training requirements for owners and operators under 30 CFR parts 46 & 48 (companies training under Part 46 must have an approved training plan). If you are an owner or employee of shell dredging, sand, gravel, surface stone, surface clay, colloidal phosphate, and surface limestone mines, you must receive annual training under 30 CFR parts 46 and 48. All attendees must be "experienced miners" and have completed their 24-hour New Miner training. Training will be conducted through Michigan Technological University's Michigan Mine Safety & Health Training grant and the MSHA Annual Refresher Metal/Non-Metal lesson plan is for year 2 of 3.
 
Training will take place in Escanaba at Bay College in the Joseph Heirman University Center, room 952C. Participants can choose to attend on Monday, February 7th, Tuesday, February 8th, Wednesday, February 9th, or Thursday, February 12th. Training will be from 8 am - 5 pm and the cost of training is $59 with lunch included. Mask are required while on Bay College campus.
