Bay College honors Deanna Robinette, Allied Health Coordinator & Co Advisor for the Department of Allied Health, as one of its recipients of the Outstanding Employee Award.  Robinette was honored and accepted the award at the 2022 Bay College Awards Celebration on Tuesday, April 19, 2022.

Robinette has been employed at Bay College since April 2010.  She has an Associate of Applied Science degree from Bay College, and a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern New Hampshire University.  Robinette is the first point of contact for students interested in Nursing (LPN and RN), EMT, Paramedic, Health Careers Phlebotomist, MRI, and CMA.  Her role at Bay is to guide potential and current Allied Health students through Allied Health programs.  She is also charged with all allied health program scheduling, promotion of the programs, managing electronic communications, progress tracking, data analysis, and reporting.

Robinette’s nominator states, “Deanna has the utmost respect for everyone, including students, staff, and community members.  As the Clinical Coordinator, she works with all of these demographics.  She works tirelessly to ensure the facilities expectations are met by faculty and students in order to attend clinic.  As the Allied Health Co-Advisor, she meets regularly with students that are accepted in the LPN, RN, EMT, Paramedic, and Health Careers programs, as well as hundreds of students that are interested in these programs and are working towards meeting the entrance requirements.  I have counted myself fortunate to work with such a thoughtful, diligent, and caring person.  No matter how stressful things become, Deanna will take time out of her day or night to check-in with you.  When you speak with Deanna, you truly feel heard.”

Robinette has foresight and finesse when advising students and preparing them for clinic.  She is a calming presence for students and staff.  She has great skill reining in energy and redirecting it into a productive and meaningful effort.

Dean of Allied Health, Mitch Campbell, said of Robinette, “Deanna has been a valued and respected member of the Allied Health team for over twelve years.  Her leadership and attention to detail are but two of the reasons she is essential to our Division.”
