Kievit Named Outstanding Graduate for Allied Health Division

Chloe Kievit (left), was named the 2022 Outstanding Graduate for the Allied Health Division at Bay College.  OSF Healthcare generously sponsored the Outstanding Graduate Award, represented by Kelly Jefferson (right).

Each year, Bay College selects an Outstanding Graduate from each of the six divisions at the College.  The graduate is selected by their instructors for their academic excellence, leadership, and community service.

Chloe Kievit was selected as the 2022 Outstanding Graduate for the Allied Health Division, with the award being sponsored by OSF HealthCare, the Bay College Faculty Association, and the Bay College Foundation.

In May, Chloe received an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing from Bay College, and plans to take the state board exam this summer to obtain her license.  Chloe will be continuing her education to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and would like to be employed in the local community.

In regards to Chloe’s college experience, she stated, “Bay College has taught me that life isn’t about being the smartest one in the room and always knowing the answers, but it is about finding a passion and being dedicated to putting forth your best effort.” 

Throughout her time at Bay College, Chloe worked for MKL Trucking and delivered packages for FedEx.  She is grateful to have a job that allowed her to work around her busy school schedule.  In addition to her supportive parents, her 3-year-old son has been a great motivation for finishing nursing school.
