Bay College Board of Trustees Election

News

Citizens of Delta County will vote for four positions to the Bay de Noc Community College Board of Trustees in the November 8, 2022 election.  The positions held by Joy E. Hopkins and Stephen T. Davis are regular six-year terms and will run through December 31, 2028.  The positions held by Nicholas M. Chenier and Wendy B. Middaugh are unexpired terms that will run through December 31, 2026.  All four incumbents have announced their intention to run in the General Election.

Candidates must be nominated by petitions signed by no less than 100 nor over 200 qualified registered voters residing within Delta County.  Candidates may pay a non-refundable filing fee of $100 to the Delta County Clerk instead of filing nominating petitions.

The Affidavit of Identity and Receipt of Filing Form and Petitions or the non-refundable filing fee must be filed no later than 4:00 p.m. E.T. on the fifteenth Tuesday (July 26, 2022) before the election date.  The forms are available online from the State of Michigan Secretary of State https://www.michigan.gov/sos/resources/forms or from the Delta County Clerk.  All forms must be filed with the Delta County Clerk.  For further information, contact the College at 906-217-4022 or the Delta County Clerk’s Office at 906-789-5105.
