Bay College Hosts Free Holiday Concert and Opportunities to Give

Escanaba City Band Free Holiday Concert at Bay College with Opportunities to Give coordinated by Bay College Student Clubs and Staff.

Join Bay College in partnership with the Escanaba City Band for an evening of charitable giving and a free holiday concert on Tuesday, November 29 at 7:30pm ET in the Besse Theater, Escanaba Campus.  The Escanaba City Band will perform a full-length Christmas concert and several Bay College Student Clubs will be collecting donations whether monetary or “in need” items for various local causes.  Donations are welcomed, however are not required to attend the concert.  Doors will open at 7pm ET.

Bay College is proud to have the following Bay Student Clubs and participating Bay Staff who have initiated charitable efforts on campus this holiday season.  Charitable causes include:

Operation Christmas Smile, supported by the Student Nurses Association and EMT/Paramedic Club as part of their holiday service project. Items for Veterans at the D.J. Jacobetti Center in Marquette, MI and the Delta County Animal Shelter, also supported by the Student Nurses Association and EMT/Paramedic Club.  For items, visit the Bay College facebook event page, @BayCollege or contact amy.anderson_FROM_BAY_COLLEGE.

Warm Coats for Warm Hearts, supported by the Business Professionals of America Association and Lake Superior State University students.  Collecting gently used or new coats and winter gear like hats, gloves, and snow pants.  Donations will be given to the Tri-County Safe Harbor, Salvation Army, Sandhill Low Income Housing and the Child Advocacy Center.  Unable to attend the concert?  Collection Boxes will also be located off-campus from November 21st thru December 5th at: Culver’s, Ashley Furniture – Escanaba, Pat’s IGA – Gladstone, and Elmer’s County Market – Escanaba.  If you have any questions or would like to volunteer, please contact: Autumn Morgan at (906) 241-8134 or email at autumn.morgan_FROM_BAY_COLLEGE.

Holiday Drive with the Salvation Army, coordinated by Bay Staff.  Monetary donations to assist in the purchase of or the collection of gifts for teens are being accepted.  Collection sites off-campus are also happening throughout the community for various causes such as: New Coats for Children, Christmas Drive, Red Kettle Campaign, TV-6 Can-a-thon.
