Bay College Hosts Norse Family Weekend – November 1 – 2

Bay College and the Norse Athletic Department are excited to welcome students, alumni, family, and the community to the Norse Family Weekend, set for Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2. This spirited two-day celebration will showcase campus tours, thrilling basketball games, and family-friendly activities for all.
The event is scheduled in conjunction with the Terrace Bay Hotel Tip-Off Classic hosted by the Norse Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams, featuring eight games in two days. Festivities begin Friday with a showdown between Rock Vally College and Alpena Community College, tipping off the women’s game at 2pm ET and the men’s at 4pm ET.
The Bay College Admissions Department will be offering campus tours on Friday to anyone interested in seeing campus in more detail. Interested parties can meet at the information desk located in Student Services.
Also on Friday, the Campus Activities Board will be hosting their annual Laser Tag Fundraiser from 4pm to 8pm ET in the JHUC 952 Conference Room (park in Lot A). Laser Tag is free for Bay College Students, and $5 for the general public.
Friday evening marks the season openers for the Norse basketball teams. Bay College’s Women take on Jackson College at 6pm ET, followed by the #14-ranked Norse Men against Minnesota North-Hibbing at 8pm ET. Afterward, guests are invited to unwind and connect at the Norse Family Social hosted by Solberg’s Buck Inn, offering a limited menu and full bar.
Saturday’s action kicks off with more basketball at 10am ET with Jackson College and Alpena Community College women’s teams meeting in the Bay College Gymnasium. Minnesota North-Hibbing and Alpena Community College Men’s teams will square off at 12pm ET. Laser Tag also resumes from 10am to 2pm ET in JHUC 952.
Fans are invited to attend the tailgate party on Saturday in parking lot C outside of the Bay College Gymnasium. Wiles Food Service will be on site serving food between 12pm and 2pm ET. Bay College students are encouraged to present their Bay College Student ID to receive their meal for free, served on a first-come, first-served basis. All other fans can purchase their food voucher at Wiles' booth to receive a burger or brat, chips, a cookie, and a drink for $10 (while supplies last). Radio Results Network will entertain participants with the RRN Mobile Boom Box and prize wheel.
The main events continue with the Norse Women’s game against #6 Rock Valley College at 2pm ET, followed by the Norse Men taking on Rock Valley at 4pm ET.
