 “College Night” provides high school juniors, seniors, parents, college students, and interested community members an opportunity to meet and speak with college representatives from both in-state and out-of state institutions. Educational opportunities available in the armed services will also be presented.

Approximately 50 different college/military representatives from Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota will be present for the event. The list includes large and small public colleges and universities, private colleges, and armed services opportunities.


Manufacturing Day

High school freshmen from surrounding school districts will come to Bay West to participate in a variety of hands-on activities from our local industry partners and manufacturers for the second annual Manufacturing Day. This event is organized in collaboration with the Dickinson Area Economic Development Alliance and Heavy Metal Tours. To learn more click the link below.

Family Fun Night

Create memories at this free, family-focused event that is set to include story time, crafts, and S.T.E.M. activities. Plus, all children will receive a free book while supplies last. All are welcome but children ages ten and under will find the evening most entertaining. More information will be posted closer to the event date.


Bay is the Way Day

Registered high school juniors will come to West Campus for a tour, student panel and information on college. Then they will take a bus to Escanaba for a tour of main campus and the opportunity to meet with faculty in fields of study that peak their interest. This is a great day for students thinking about attending Bay (or planning on it), as well as students who aren’t sure what they want to do. Individuals can sign up through their guidance counselor. The deadline to register is October 15. Space is limited for this event so register early.

These events are for anyone thinking about attending college not just Bay College! Bay College Financial Aid Department will assist parents and seniors in FAFSA completion. The FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) website to apply for financial aid for the 2019-2020 academic year opened on Oct. 1. Attendees should have the following information for both parent and student to complete the FAFSA: FSAID, Social Security Number, Federal Income Tax Return, W-2s, and other records of money earned, bank and investment records (if applicable), and records of untaxed income. Prior to attending, parents and students should create a FSAID (go to fsaid.ed.gov). To learn more information about FAFSA or to start filling out the application go to fafsa.gov.
