About the CNA Training Program

The need for dependable bedside nursing care is as prevalent as ever, ranging from hospitals to home health agencies to long-term care facilities. The Certified Nursing Assistant or CNA plays an important role, providing basic care while ensuring the safety and comfort of patients. Bay College's training program prepares the student for immediate employment as a nursing assistant.

The Certified Nursing Assistant program is designed to provide people an opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, processes and understanding of becoming a Nursing Assistant. After successfully completing this course, the graduate will qualify to take the state competency evaluation test for nursing assistants.

The CNA course consists of a mixture of classroom lecture, laboratory training and clinical training that takes place at local care facilities.

Training Dates

CNA training is now offered on a monthly basis. To view or register for upcoming Nurse Assistant Training courses, visit mytraining.baycollege.edu.

Cost of Training

Cost of the Certified Nursing Assistant training is $800.00 and due in full at the time of registration. Students must wear navy blue scrubs and white shoes for all class and clinic hours. Bay College will provide the stethoscope and blood pressure cuff.

Local care facilities often sponsor students by covering the cost of training. We encourage those interested to call the care facilities directly for more information and availability. Students receiving financial assistance through a third party agency will not be considered registered until written confirmation has been received from the third party agency.

Cancellation Policy

Registrations not canceled five business days before the class begins will not be entitled to a refund. A processing fee of $25.00 will be assessed for all cancellations.
