Kenneth H. Groh

Board of Trustees

Kenneth H. Groh was appointed to the Board of Trustees on May 1, 2019 for the term that expires on December 31, 2020. Mr. Groh served as Superintendent of Manistique Area Schools from 1995- 2004 and North Central Area Schools from 1988-1995. After retiring from 32 years in public education, he was asked to serve as Interim Superintendent of Schools for Big Bay de Noc Schools, Baraga Area Schools, Gladstone Area Schools, and North Central Area Schools. Mr. Groh was also the Athletic Director/Community Schools Director at Gladstone Area Schools from 1985-1988, the Community Schools Director from 1979-1985 and the Elementary Principal and Athletic Director from 1973-1979 at North Central Area after teaching at Elkton-Pigeon-Bay Port Public Schools in Pigeon, MI. Mr. Groh received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts degrees from Northern Michigan University and additional graduate hours in School Administration from Northern Michigan University and Central Michigan University. Ken’s wife Bonnie is retired from public education and she was employed at Delta-Schoolcraft Intermediate School District for over 20 years. They both attend First Lutheran Church in Gladstone, where Ken is on the Church Council. Ken and Bonnie both attended Bay College.
