Originally from Florence, WI, Jeremiah started his college education at Michigan Tech before transferring to Bay College to be closer to home. Although he was not use to the smaller, single building campus, Jeremiah has been surprised by how much Bay College does for their students. “Everyone has been extremely helpful, from my Networking instructors John Gregg and Karl Linderoth keeping an eye out for internships to Sarah Davy in the Student Success Center working around students’ schedules to arrange tutoring.”

Currently Jeremiah is studying Computer Networking Systems and Security with the plan of transferring to Lake Superior State University. He shared, “my dream job is to be a Security Consultant and I know what I am learning at Bay College will help me in all aspects of a security setting.” His most proud moment was when he made the Dean’s List with a 4.0 two semesters in a row.  Jeremiah also started the first Bay Pride group at the West Campus, “I’ve seen posters for Bay Pride at the main campus and I really wanted a place for the LGTB community to have an outlet where they can feel comfortable at the West Campus.”

Most days you can find Jeremiah working at Bay College West as either an IT Intern or in the Student Success Center where he is helping students at the front desk or tutoring in just about every subject. His supervisor Sarah Davy shared, “he appreciates that college can be challenging and he is eager to offer support to his fellow students. He is especially talented at identifying the perfect resource or process for solving almost any problem.  We are fortunate to have such an honest, caring and resourceful person at the West Campus!”
