Automotive Maintenance Technician (Certificate)
Program Details
The Automotive Maintenance Technician certificate program is designed for students interested in an entry level position in the field of automotive service. The program will provide the knowledge and skills related to brakes, electrical, suspension, steering, and engine performance required to perform duties in the field. Students may further enhance their employability options by completing the Master Technician Certificate or an Associate’s degree.

The Automotive Maintenance Technician certificate program at Bay College prepares the successful graduate for a number of entry level employment positions in the automotive service field, including: Brake Specialist, Engine Performance Specialist, Electrical Specialist, Suspension, Steering and Alignment Specialist, and Preventive Maintenance/General repairs. By working with an academic advisor, a successful Automotive Maintenance Technician graduate can go on to complete the Master Technician Certificate which includes all 8 areas and prepare for the Master Certification and/or go on to earn an Associate’s degree.
