Why Chemistry?

Chemistry is a broad field that can lead to many different career paths, including education, research and development, forensics, pharmacy, pharmacology, medicine, polymers and plastics, and biochemistry.

A chemistry degree is primarily for students interested in research, future educators and pre-professional health students. It provides a solid foundation for further study in a more specialized area.  For example, students interested in the health professions often major in chemistry.  Health professions include medicine, pharmacy, physical therapy, veterinary medicine, dentistry, optometry and more.

Why Bay College?

Bay College offers students interested in Chemistry a degree option in Associate in Science, as well as a variety of Chemistry courses.  Visit our academic pages covering Pre-Professional Health, to learn about our specialized programs.  Class sizes are small, students get lots of individual attention, and hands on experience in the laboratory.
