Amy Reddinger is the Dean of Arts & Sciences at Bay College. She received her bachelor’s degree in English and Africana Studies at Bryn Mawr College and a master’s degree and PhD in English from the University of Washington in Seattle. Prior to becoming a dean, she was faculty at UW-Marinette for 10 years. During this time, she taught composition, literature, gender studies, first-year studies and LGBT studies classes. She has also published articles and book chapters in her teaching areas, with particular focus on institutional inclusion and diversity as it relates to student success. Reddinger was selected by students to be Faculty of the Year in 2009 and 2015; she was awarded the Chancellor’s Excellence in Teaching Award by the UW Colleges in 2015; and she was awarded the Chancellor’s Inclusive Excellence Award in 2017. One of her favorite parts of her job as dean is getting to visit classes where she gets to meet student and talk with faculty about teaching and learning.
