Britt Slade is a Mathematics Instructor at Bay College - West Campus in Iron Mountain. Slade has been employed at Bay College since 2005. She typically teaches Liberal Arts Mathematics, Liberal Arts Math with Support, Pre-Calculus, and Statistics. She has also taught Pre-Algebra, Mathematical Literacy, Basic Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Technical Algebra & Trig I and II, Trigonometry, and Calculus 1. Slade advises students interested in pursuing a degree in math and science related fields such as pre-engineering and pre-professional health. She was named Outstanding Educator for Bay College in 2011, was co-winner of Bay’s TORCH award in 2017, and given Bay’s 2018-2019 Open Education Award. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics (concentration in Statistics), a Secondary Education Certificate (major in Mathematics with a minor in Science) and a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics (concentration in Applied Mathematics), all from Michigan Technological University.
