Britt Slade is a Mathematics Instructor at Bay College in Iron Mountain. Slade has been employed at Bay College since 2005. She typically teaches Introduction to Statistics (traditional and online), College Algebra, Liberal Arts Mathematics, and Mathematical Literacy. She has also taught Pre-Algebra, Basic Algebra, Intermediate Algebra, Technical Algebra & Trig I and II, Trigonometry, and Calculus I. Slade advises students interested in pursuing a degree in math and science related fields such as pre-engineering and pre-professional health. She was named Outstanding Educator for Bay College in 2011, was co-winner of Bay’s TORCH award in 2017, and given Bay’s 2018-2019 Open Education Award. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mathematics (concentration in Statistics), a Secondary Education Certificate (major in Mathematics with a minor in Science) and a Master of Science Degree in Mathematics (concentration in Applied Mathematics), all from Michigan Technological University.
