Edie Erickson

Edie Erickson is an instructional designer at Bay de Noc Community College and has been with Bay College since 2017. She holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education and social studies from Baker College, as well as a masters degree in educational technology from Michigan State University. She is a former 3rd grade teacher, spending nine years teaching in South Carolina and Michigan. Edie also serves as an adjunct instructor in Michigan State University's Masters of Arts in Educational Technology (MAET) program. Edie holds a Michigan Professional Certification with endorsements for elementary education, social studies, and technology. She is a Google Certified Educator, and is also a certified Blackboard GUI Administrator. She is a certified Quality Matters Peer Reviewer and is also certified in the use of the Quality Matters rubric. She is a member of ISTE (International Society of Technology in Education), MACUL (Michigan Association of Computer Users in Learning), Michigan Colleges Online OER Steering Committee (MCO OER), and the Instructional Technology Council (ITC), has presented at a number of state and national conferences. She is a member of the MSU instructional team that was awarded the AT&T Instructional Technology Award for 2018. In addition and is also the recipient of two DENny Awards presented by the Discovery Educator Network. She is a 2017 Designing with OER Fellow and is the recipient of the 2016 MACUL Technology Using Teacher of the Year Award.
