Spencer Slade is a Mathematics Instructor at Bay College in Escanaba. Slade has been employed at Bay College since 2000. He typically teaches Precalculus, Calculus I, II, and III, Differential Equations, and Linear Algebra and has also taught Statistics, College Algebra, and Liberal Arts Math. Slade advises students interested in pursuing a degree in pre-engineering, mathematics, or computer science. He was named Outstanding Educator for Bay College in 2003-2004, 2012-2013, and 2016-2017 and co-winner of Bay College’s TORCH award in 2016-2017. He is the lead advisor for the Bay College STEM Club. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Mathematics and a Master’s of Science Degree in Mathematics, both from Michigan Technological University.
