Troy Gallagher

Troy Gallagher is a Water Technology Instructor at Bay de Noc Community College in Escanaba. Troy has been part of the Bay College team for over ten years. He has been teaching water/wastewater courses all over the U.S. Troy has more than 30 years of diverse experience in teaching water/wastewater courses and working as a water/wastewater treatment consultant and manager. He was the founder and president of H2O in Motion, a water/wastewater engineering, consulting and training firm acquired by Mead & Hunt in 2014, managing all aspects of the company. His previous employment also includes supervision of municipal and industrial treatment systems for companies throughout the United States. Troy also works part-time for a consulting firm ensuring that he keeps up with current trends and new technology in the water/wastewater sector for his students. He specializes in domestic, industrial, stormwater and wastewater treatment, providing environmental consulting services, permit support, and troubleshooting for industrial and municipal water/wastewater treatment systems. Troy supports management of the water/wastewater team, overseeing operations and design/build of treatment systems. He also has a lead role in marketing and financial planning for the group. Troy holds water/wastewater licensing in seven states. He was name the outstanding instructor for Bay College and Michigan's Occupation Trends outstanding instructor.
