Get ready for an energetic evening of world-class bluegrass as Bay College presents Nick Dumas & Branchline in concert on Monday, February 17 at 7pm ET in the Besse Theater on the Escanaba Bay College Campus. Doors will open at 6:30pm ET.

Nick Dumas, one of the top emerging artists in bluegrass today, has built a reputation for his diverse talents and exceptional musicianship. Raised in a musical family in Washington State, Nick first gained experience performing with his family band, Three Generations. He went on to co-found the high-energy bands Northern Departure and North Country before joining the Grammy-nominated Special Consensus in 2014 as a lead singer and mandolin player. With Special Consensus, he recorded two albums, one of which won three IBMA Awards, including “Album of the Year” in 2018.

Now leading his own group, Nick Dumas & Branchline, Nick continues to showcase his musical mastery with his latest album, Details, released on Skyline Records. The album highlights his growth as a songwriter, composer, and performer, receiving critical acclaim and strong airplay. In 2023, Nick was nominated for IBMA Momentum Vocalists of the Year and received a Song of the Year nomination from SPBGMA in Nashville.

Joining Nick on stage is an impressive lineup of musicians, including Daniel Thrailkill (guitar, vocals), a past IBMA Momentum Vocalist of the Year; Hana Dumas (fiddle, vocals), a two-time Wisconsin State Fiddle Champion; Will McSeveney (banjo), a Nashville-based powerhouse; and Andrew Knapp (bass) from Seattle. Together, they bring a dynamic and engaging performance that is sure to captivate bluegrass fans of all ages.
