Bay College is proud to announce the successful completion of the 2024–2025 Leadership Academy, a dynamic nine-month program designed to empower current and future leaders across the central Upper Peninsula. Seventeen professionals completed the program this year, marking the seventh year of Bay College’s commitment to developing leaders who drive positive change in their organizations and the broader community.
While many businesses offer in-house leadership training, Bay’s program offers cross-industry collaboration, allowing participants to learn from others outside their fields, fostering broader perspectives and innovative thinking.
“Each year, we’re proud to see how the Leadership Program continues to align with the evolving needs of our local industries. The consistently positive feedback from participants is a testament to the program’s relevance and impact,” said Gina Wollner, Program Coordinator. “This year’s group was an engaged and courageous group of individuals who pushed themselves to grow and fully embrace the experience.”
The 2024–2025 Leadership Academy participants included Natalie Ciantar, Vicki Degrand, Amber Perry, Scott Reddinger, Mackenzie Williamsen, Carly Temple, Sara Orchard, Brittany Unrein, Jamie Warren, Amy Ortman, Aimee Roberts, Janel Primeau, Amanda Harlock, Brandon Pietsch, Cody Crockford, Elsa Pontbriand, and Chris Wenzel.
Cindy Gallagher, Vice President of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships at Bay College, states, “Bay College continues to meet the educational needs of our community. Programs and trainings such as the Leadership Academy align with Bay College’s overall strategic plan, including building industry-responsive partnerships. We are excited and proud to be working with local business and community partners in Iron Mountain to support their educational and training needs.”
The annual Leadership Academy collaboration underscores Bay College’s commitment to fostering regional growth through education, innovation, and meaningful community engagement.
