Bay College’s Math/Science Division will host a panel discussion on Thursday, February 27 for students interested in engineering, math, and science careers. The panel will feature guest speakers Tim Steinmetz, Kurtis Shiverski, and Richard Hubert III— former Bay College students who completed the Associate of Science Pre-Engineering program before earning their Bachelor of Science degrees in Engineering from Michigan Technological University.
Steinmetz, a mechanical engineer, is a Senior Development Engineer at EMP in Escanaba. Shiverski, also a mechanical engineer, works at BOSS Products, a division of The TORO Company, in Iron Mountain. Hubert, a chemical engineer, serves as the Kraft Mill Production Engineer at Billerud’s Escanaba Mill.
The discussion is designed for new and current students exploring education and career opportunities in engineering, math, and science. However, anyone interested in learning more about engineering careers and the daily responsibilities of engineers is welcome to attend.
The panel will take place on Thursday, February 27 at 4pm ET (3pm CT) in Room MS 125 of the 100 Building on Bay College’s Escanaba Campus. A livestream will also be available at the Iron Mountain Campus in Room 244.
