Bay College’s Annual Writing Competition Now Accepting Entries
Any current Bay College student may submit up to three entries in each of three categories: fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction (personal essay). A first prize of $50 and a second prize of $25 will be awarded in each category at the local level. The top two entries in each category will advance to the state competition, where cash prizes will be awarded for each category.

All entries must be sponsored and submitted by a Bay College faculty member via email attachment to Jennifer McCann at the following address: mccannj@baycollege.edu. Students without a faculty sponsor can reach out to Jennifer for assistance. The submission deadline for all entries is Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025.
